So was I.  I was tired of these heavy, stiff Steel trailers that were not optimized for the MC Scow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MC, being such a light boat lends itself to being towed by smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles (Gas or Electric).  Having a 350lb trailer carrying a 420lb boat seemed silly to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usually these trailers had suspensions that were tuned for much heavier loads.  With such stiff springs the ride quality was very poor, shaking and rattling the boat, eventually causing premature softening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an engineer I set out to design a trailer with just the right weight and strength, and a softer ride.
